  • Why cant we be who we are??

    We all want to be something different from what we are. Thinner, prettier, more handsome, better at guitar, taller, smaller, thinner, thicker... We all always feel like we aren't good enough. Heaven forbid that we just accept ourselves the way we are. It would be so much easier for us to love ourselves without all the criticism floating around. If we didn't judge each other and base who are friends are based on what they look like then this wouldn't be quite as much of a problem. The people who really care will love us just the way we are.

  • YOU. ARE. SPECIAL

    I don't care what anyone tells you. You are amazing and special in every way. You are smart and funny and handsome and your a musician. You are not stupid you are not unimportant. DO NOT let anyone tell you any of those things. If your mother has so little faith in you please don't let that bring y you down. You are AMAZING. And no matter what anyone says you WILL achieve and you will succeed. You are not a failure. I love you. And I believe in you. I know how amazing and special you are. I have seen it with my own eyes. I have witnessed it. I will stay with you forever. I will help you to see. You HAVE to see, you HAVE to understand. It frustrates me so much how little faith your family, the people that should be closest to you don't see your brilliance. They don't see your potential. You SHINE, like a STAR. You are the SUN. You light up my day and it pisses me off so much that you can't see it and your family can't see it when to me it is as clear as day! I must leave. I must go back to Linsly. And whether you can go or not ( presumably the answer is NO) I will still be yours and I will ALWAYS see how brightly you SHINE. I will now let the subject drop. Because I know it is no use. I shoudl have known better than to try and convince someone who is so determined to see the wrong in you that she just cannot see the truth. The right in you outshines the wrongs. Do not let her idiocy tell you any differently. Yes, i do have high hopes for you. Because I know what you are capable of. You are not incompetent and you are not useless. You are brilliant. I don't care if even you agree with me or not. Its the truth. You will do something worth while and you will be so much more than that. I love you. and YOU. ARE. SPECIAL.

  • Dear JLS

    You've made me laugh, cry, smile, and feel more emotions than I can possibly begin to talk about or describe. You were and are my escape from this crazy world around me. Your my present, my future, and I can't remember my past farther back then the moment you entered my life. Ever since I saw your face I've been able to think of nothing else. You ARE my world. I sit and can just see us being together for the rest of our lives. And when we talk about the stupid silly amazingly funny things that we'll together later in life I just KNOW that we were made to be together. There is NO doubt in any part of my mind, not even the farthest corners, that I LOVE you. And not love like the word that people just throw around early in life when they first start dating. There is a difference. The love I feel towards you is unconditional. I love you ALL the time. When your sick, when you first wake up in the morning, when your tired, exhausted, in a bad mood, cranky, as well as the amazing times when your happy and laughing and joking and smiling. No matter what kind of mood you are in. Even if you had the WORST day I know that I can go to you and give you a hug and you'll smile down at me. And everything about you is completely amazing. I love your overall personality, the music you listen to, how funny you are, the expressions you make, the way you react to things, how I know that you're completely honest with me, and how you are THE ONLY person in this world who completely knows everything about me. I've NEVER allowed myself to get this close to another human being, not even my mom. And I just wanted to thank you. For being the amazing person that you are.  For trying your hardest and your best to make me as happy as possible and a lot of the time putting my happiness above your own. i just love you with every fiber of my body and every corner of my soul. . And I just want you to know that I couldn't go a day without you. And if I ever lost you I don't know what I'd do. Thank you for just being here. And no matter where I go or where I end up, I am ALWAYS yours. No one elses, until the end of time, you are mine.

  • THE LINSLY SCHOOL

    Its so frustrating how the school I attend is nothing like it promotes itself. I know that its probably necessary of them to say these untruths to get people to want to attend but the lies are astronomical. My dorm is not a "home away from home" and the faculty are not "like family" to me. They are not "welcoming and willing to help". Quite on the contrary. MY dorm master in particular made the school quite a lot worse than it should have been. And his wife is just HORRID. And the fact that he(my dorm master) is going to be head master this next year does not help the schools cause. Don't get me wrong some of the things they wrote on the website are ALMOST true. Like that you'll make amazing lifelong friends. They also forget to add things on the dorming section of the site about how people steal your stuff, sleep in your bed, argue about stupid things, bother you at all hours of the day and night, and how half the girls are rude snotty little things that are only there because they are rich and not because they are smart like the people like me who are there on scholarship. Its just a frustration, all the lies that are told, and I wish I could write this on the website../

  • Censorship

    Censorship is an injustice that is unnecessary. If people don't want to know things or read things or hear a certain belief then they don't have to read certain magazines or books, listen to certain tv channels or radio stations, etc. In our constitution we are given the freedom of speech. The freedom of speech and the freedom to believe what we want to believe helped to form our country! So how can we say that certain things cannot be said or printed?? We as people of America have that right! So if I think something about a certain issue you MAY NOT tell me that I cannot say, think, or feel it. If I write a novel and it could be printed but people complain about the issues addressed I should still be able to publish it! Same goes for newspaper articles, songs, etc. This country is all about freedom. Our national symbol the bald eagle represents FREEDOM. I find it horrible that we can be such hypocrits as to limit the amount of freedom and to take away our basic rights. Thats all censorship is! Its limiting our amendment given rights. We ARE a FREE country.
